WHAT WENT ON
JULY HAPPENINGS
July was a busy month! Darryn Fisher from Global Passion stayed with us for four days after the mission team left July 1st, after being here serving with us for a week. Global Passion was here and we helped host a VBS in the Arenales community along with South Hills Church in Dorado.
Mobilizing Students has been here all month serving in different communities with different churches. John has been teaching prayer to each team every week. He has been teaching using the tools we have learned from Big Life. The prayer circle, how to hear the voice of God, and the up, in, and out tool for prayer. Monday July 17- Thursday July 20 one of the teams served us and our ministry here.

-Monday, they painted two bedrooms as well as our hallway in our home. They also blessed us with a mural of a tree, with all of their hand prints as leaves. Half the team went with John that day to The Donation House on the USCG housing base to sort clothing that had been donated to The EXCHANGE for the clothing hand out in Arenales.
-Tuesday, we taught the team on prayer walking and street evangelism, teaching them how to share the 3-circle gospel. We then went to Arenales to hand out fliers for the clothing hand out the next day. Afterwards we went to Old San Juan to prayer walk and evangelize.
-Wednesday, we held the clothing handout and handed out clothing to over 30 people. Afterwards went to Ramon and Natacha’s home to paint a few rooms. After seeing the home in the in such poor condition, a group of women from the team went to the store and practically furnished the entire home. Natacha and Ramon were in tears. This was the first time they had so many new things.
-Thursday, we finished up at Ramon and Natacha’s home and took the team to the beach.

July 20 was Johns birthday, he turned 36.

July 21-23 John, Jennifer, and Dallas spent three days in St. Croix with Pastor John and his family from The Shepherd’s Fold Church.
Pastor John shared his heart with us and his desires for the island. He would like for John to hold a discipleship and evangelism training in St. Croix. In September John plans to go back to St. Croix to meet with other pastors from the island as well as Pastor John to see what that may look like.

Jennifer started her new job as a nanny this month. This is an adjustment for us as we are used to her being home. She works three days a week, 8am-5pm. This is a necessary change to supplement our support. Lack of work for American, non-fluent Spanish speaking men is something we deal with here.

Jennifer took Giovanni and Diana’s family, whom we have been ministering to in the projects, to the store to purchase school uniforms for their children (5). This only could happen because of supporters like you, supporting our ministry through prayer and financial gifts.
