This is a unique opportunity to partner with a church planter / pastor who works among the refugee population in Italy. Because of the extreme situation in Italy due to the Corona Virus, the normally difficult day to day life of the refugees has become even more harsh. Many of the refugees in this area do not have regular jobs, and work as day laborers when the economy is active. As you are aware, Italy had to shut down the country, to help protect the vulnerable from the pandemic. This resulted in a halt in the economy and day to day work. Also, as the National government works hard to curb the affects of the virus, the side affect is that getting food, supplies, and water to the refugees is severely hampered from the social distancing policies. The pastor wanted to share with each of you that, he and his family are still receiving regular support for the church. He praises the Lord that this has continued and that they are blessed. THEREFORE, any funds that will be sent to this church will go strictly to the needs of the refugee community. Many of the refugees in this area are from Pakistan and most of them are Muslim. They fled to Italy to escape war and persecution, to find a safer and more secure country in which to work and raise their families. The Pastor and his family relate to these needs and struggles of the refugee community, as they too fled Pakistan to follow the Lord to reach the lost among the refugees. All of the moneys given to this need will go directly to the church in Italy, so that pastor and his family can give food and assistance to the refugee community suffering from the affects of the Corona Virus Pandemic.
